Windows 7 is the Most awaited Operating System which is going to make it’s way into market by the end of this year.
It is believed that Microsoft and Intel were working on this project to provide their best than the previous version Operation systems of Windows. As the Microsoft and Intel were working since last 20 years together but they are placing much efforts on this project. So lets expect a step more from them.
So, it will be cool if we know the tips & tricks and features before the release of the full version by using the trail version of Windows 7 which is already available in Web World for downloads.
So folks, we can accustomed to the Monumental Operating system before it’s complete version release by following the tips and tricks and also trying out the new features in this.
Now AppLocker is our third Tips & tricks on Windows 7 Operating system. Lets check what it can do…
AppLocker:
If you are usually sharing your computer with someone else, then you might want to restrict their access to your applications, files or documents.
Using the AppLocker tool, you have a few options to do this by blocking other users to access Executables, Windows Installers, Scripts, a specific publisher or path. You can simply do this by pressing the Windows key then typing Gpedit.msc.
Then go to Computer Navigation -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Application Control Policies -> AppLocker. Right click on one of the options ( Executables, Installers, or Script ) and create a new rule. That should save you from a lot of headaches.
What is AppLocker?

Windows 7 introduces a great new feature called App Locker. App locker works under the premise that it’s easier to allow the applications you want and block the rest. If you’re running a Windows 7 machine you can see App Locker by typing gpedit.msc into your search bar and pressing enter.

In the above example I set the level to allow any version of Internet Explorer. (regardless of the file name used or the version)
You can use the same steps to create exceptions for specific applications. One of the best features is the ability to automatically generate rules.
