Use the Internet Survey Technique to Locate Hot Products to Sell

e marketing 290x300 Use the Internet Survey Technique to Locate Hot Products to SellAfter having used the survey technique for years with great success in my own business ventures, I am convinced this is absolutely the best method available to understand your niche’s stress points and by so doing, reduce the risk of failure by 99%.  This is a rather sweeping statement, but I have developed most of my products this way and they have all been profitable from the day I launched them.

For the best results, you must word your questionnaire properly and target the proper audience; doing so will cut your risk of failure by 99%.  With this type of survey, you can hone in on the precise needs of people in your niche for which they have been unable to find a solution.  You can hear directly from your niche audience about what they want and will often talk extensively about their challenges.

This can be powerful input you can really use in your ad copy, on your sales page and any place where you communicate with prospective buyers.  You can use the exact language your audience uses and this in itself is a powerful tool in converting browsers into staunch customers.

To make a long story short, the Internet Survey involves

  • Choosing a niche audience and identifying a problem that audience faces
  • Identifying top keywords relating to that problem (at least 5-10 keywords but don’t stop there – choose as many as 50 if you can).  Make sure your primary keyword has very strong search value for these 2 purposes: 1. You will get a large amount of survey responses quickly and 2. When you begin to promote affiliate products or have developed one of your own, you will have an advertising source ready and waiting.
  • Set up your domain with a 4-6 question survey page (more questions than that and you lose your readers)
  • Go to Google and set up a ppc advertising campaign.  (Right about now you are probably thinking you don’t have the money they charge to run your survey through pay-per-click.  Think again – I have run surveys for $100.00 or less which garnered sufficient information to launch a product for myself.  The key here is to go through the Private Investigator steps discussed above so you are sure you have properly identified the real ‘pain points’ of your niche followers.

Do you have an email list already?  If so, you can gain huge understanding of needs by launching an email survey.  This is even more desirable because the people on your email list have already ‘opted in’ which means you already have an established relationship with them and they will be a great source of market intelligence for these reasons.  With this information you can

  • Draw traffic to your survey page from your Pay-Per-Click page
  • When you have assembled enough survey responses, you can analyze the data.
  • Choose and develop the best product based on the survey’s responses.
  • Begin advertising this new product by use of the keywords and sources of traffic which ended in questionnaires being completed.  (The reasoning behind this is obvious; if the folks took time to fill in your survey, they will most likely be buyers for your new product.  By beginning your advertising this way, you will be able to make some profits quickly which you can in turn use to expand your promo tactics.

Remember, there are many, many folks in your niche audience just waiting for you to ask them what’s on their mind.  Take advantage of this and even if you have never considered the survey technique, you should jump in right away and get to work on this valuable tool to get the perfect product into the market at the very beginning.
