With the recent Google Panda update, it has become very obvious that parasitic sites feeding on plagiarized content, and feeds directories are not going to survive for too long.
If your site is surviving on others’ content, it’s high time you should consider creating some quality content, and taking off all the plagiarized content from your site.
Secondly, Google has declared open war with content farms so it’s important to select an ethical SEO service provider – in case you’re managing SEO of your blog, then you must avoid linking bad neighborhood at all costs.
Moreover, you should consider limiting the paid posts on your blogs for next few weeks/months as it’s still not sure how Google is treating paid links with the Panda update.
Furthermore, with the terror of tsunami all over the place, you might have already seen a considerable drop in traffic, unless your blog focuses on tsunami facts and updates. But, you should not get confused with drop in traffic levels due to drop in searches in your niche, with the impact of Google panda update on your site.
Last but definitely not the least, you must remember that the Panda update doesn’t affect a site as a whole – more importantly, only US based sites have been heavily affected, so if you’ve non-US based site, then you might not have felt the impact yet.

Therefore, it’s time to check your GA stats, and identify if traffic levels have dropped on any of your top performing pages; if the answer is no, it’s quite possible that you’ve got some high quality content, along with some poor quality pages, which may have suffered with the Panda update.
In short, you’ll have to spend a lot of time studying the performance of various pages of your site, take off pages with plagiarized content, and stay away from Black-hat SEO tactics!
If you’re planning to hire an SEO consultant or company, look for a website optimization service provider that uses only white hat SEO strategies.
For those of you who’re running blogs dominated with lot of images, a word of caution would be to ensure that you include min 100-200words of meaningful along with photo galleries. And, don’t submit the content of your website/blog to ezinearticles without rewriting it – even while doing so, make sure that you do provide something unique info in each article rather than re-iterating the same thing over and again.
