What is Verified by MasterCard/Visa ?
Effective from August 01, 2009, all online credit card and debit card transaction will require an additional level of security.

Visa calls it’s service as, “Verified by Visa” and MasterCard as, “SecureCode”

How to register your Card ?
Registering your existing Visa/ MasterCard Debit and Credit cards for the 3D Secure service is simple. You can either register for the “Verified by Visa” or “Master Secure Code” service while you are shopping on the Internet or you can visit your bank’s website right now and register all your cards.

If you have an add-on card for your spouse or others, they should register separately his/her own PIN. Its better to keep your PIN in numerical form because it wont allow when you are doing an IVR transaction on Phone & most phones does not allow you to type Alphabets or Special Characters.
