New Year Resolutions and Changes that we are going to bring [Announcement]

Firstly, Happy New year for all GadgetCage Readers, Friends, Fans and Advertisers. Over past 2 months, we haven’t provided, what you expect from us for coming over here and well we apologize that. But we are going to come up with few interesting aspects and new goals as our New Year Resolution.

2011 was a steady year for us. We haven’t experienced any considerable growth or fall, but it was a challenging year from Google which tested the patience and internal strength of bloggers and webmasters with its Latest Search Engine Updates by the name Google Panda. Luckily, we’ve got out of it by following some quality measures suggested by few of the well reputed blogs.

We encouraged articles on Gadgets, Tips and Tricks, SEO, Blogging, Social Media, Technology News, Entertainment, and few other categories in 2011. It looked like we messed-up the things with too many niches which resulted in failure to build a targeted community. So, we have decided to provide articles only on Gadgets, Computer Tips and Tricks as well as few other Tech Related Stories from 2012.

Well, again it’s not the case that we are neglecting our readers who loved to read articles on SEO, Blogging and Internet Marketing tips. We have specially launched a new blog WPSkool.com for posting articles on SEO, Blogging, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and also Internet Marketing Strategies. We are about to start posting articles over there, as currently the theme design work is going on.

We have also started another blog PcCage.com for out and out PC Troubleshooting, best tips and techniques to enhance your Computer and Internet Security knowledge.

Before Writing about the changes that we are going to bring, Let me share the milestones that we achieved in 2011

#Milestones of GadgetCage in 2011

1. We have experienced 300% growth in Traffic for the month of March 2011 and crossed 250k unique online visitors in the same month.
2. We have received over 200+ Guest Posts from webmasters all over the world.
3. We completed our 4 year presence in Internet World on August 26th 2011. <GadgetCage Turns 4 Today – Whats Special?>
4. We entered into 20,000 club of Alexa and also GadgetCage is featured as Top 100 Gadget and Small Business blogs at Technorati.
5. We have published over 312 articles and received over 4300 comments for this year.
6. Crossed 2500 Subscribers, 5000 Facebook Fans and 1500 Articles.

To be right on the point, I believe that we are successful in testing great deal of things in 2011 regardless those things came in our way or not, but we’d like to use these experiences as our stepping stones. 2011 provided us the real taste of professional blogging and helped us in learning many things.

Changes that we planned to bring

• Re-Introducing Cool Sundays concept which deals with funny stuff related mostly to gadgets and other stuff on Sundays.
• Introducing Weekend News Real that which deals with Technology News happening around the world in brief.
• We decided to provide information only on Gadgets, Technology, Internet, Applications, Tutorials and Tips.
• We are going to be strict on Guest Posting from now. We’ll only accept the article with relevant links in the post body as we are not going to accept links in the author-bio.
• Re-Introducing Monthly Round-Up which provides entire resource of posts published in the prescribed month.

Finally, I’d like to Thank everyone who stayed with us and showed their support. We’ll try to bring up our best from Jan 2012 and it is going to be our New Year Resolution. So, folks stay tuned.
