7 Sure-Fire Ways to Skyrocket Your Blog

Blogging is fun and this explains why a large number of people are starting their blogs everyday. There are millions of blogs in the world and thousands of blogs are added everyday and at the same time there are millions of people looking for blogs to read everyday but it is very unfortunate many people are not just able to get their blogs to their desired level of success.

If you have been having problems taking your blog to the next level or you need practical advice on skyrocketing your blogs success very fast then this post is for you. I will be writing about 7 sure-fire ways I have used to skyrocket my blog which you can also use to take your blog to the next level.

First Things First!

Having an order for things is really very important and that is why I will make sure this post is organized, I will list my points in their order of significance.

#1. Locate Your REAL Niche

The first point to consider when trying to skyrocket your blog’s success is to locate your niche. I know many people already have a blog and they have chosen a niche and that is exactly why I said you should locate your real niche. You might not necessarily be in the right niche but once you could locate your real niche then things will begin to turn around in your favor.

One of the best ways to locate your real niche is to discover your passion, no matter what your passion is, you will always find readers for your blog. If you love technological things so much then you will love the technology niche. If you don’t choose the right niche for your blog then it will affect you on the long run.

#2. Make it Easy for Your Readers to Know What Your Blog is About

This step is as important as every other step. If your readers don’t know what your blog is all about then they won’t value your work.

When I started blogging, I used a domain name called dataentryforall.net, it took me too long to know that I was on the wrong path. Immediately I realized, I changed my blog address and my blog has grown faster than I could even dream of.

Make it easy for your readers to be able to tell what your blog is all about, don’t let them think your technology blog is about nursing!

#3. Get a Good Domain Name

This advice is for those who don’t have a blog yet or their blogs is still at a small stage, if your blog has taken off then my next advice will be very useful.

It is very important to get a good domain name because your domain name is your brand and the easier people can remember it the better, because they will be able to spread the word faster.

#4. Build a Great Brand

Another great way to skyrocket your blog’s success is by building a great brand. If you want to know someone who has done this to great effect then you might want to take a look at Hesham Zebida from Famous Bloggers. Hesham has built a great brand for his blog and there is a lot to learn from him.

Some great ways to build a great brand for your blog is by having great logos, having great avatars that easily distinguish your blog comments and by running viral blog contests.

#5. Write Quality Content

Traffic is one of the most important elements to a blog’s success and one of the best ways to get quality traffic to your blog is by writing quality content.

My best post really went viral and it impacted my blog and almost doubled my blog traffic. If you write quality content on your blog, your blog posts will always go viral and people will begin to respect you as someone who knows what he is saying but if you just write any type of content people would see you as someone who is not serious and your blog won’t be on their priority list.

The best rule to writing quality content is to give your best!

#6. Have Goals

One of the most important things to do when trying to get traffic to your blog is to have goals.

One of my blogging goals is to impact lives and give my best in terms of quality content but later I started writing rubbish and a lot of personal stuffs, I eventually analyzed my blog to see if I am on-track and I was able to discover I was on the wrong path, I was then able to retrace my steps and fall back on track.

It is always very important to set goals for your blog because this will inspire you to work harder to make sure you get results. Having goals will also help you to know if you are on the right path or not.

#7. Build Traffic

I have discovered (from personal research) that out of every hundred unsuccessful blogs, over 90 percent suffer from lack of traffic.

It is very important to try as much as you can to get traffic to your blog, don’t just write content and forget everything.

Do everything you can to get traffic to your blog: comment on blogs, write guest posts (like I am doing), network with other bloggers, be on social networking sites, submit your posts to social bookmarking sites, optimize your blogs for search engines, update your blog regularly and read ebooks on how to get traffic (like this one).

Your traffic will determine a lot about your blog and your blog can never become anything if you don’t have traffic. Do your best to get traffic to your blog and you will be happy you did.
