  • Key Features:-
Light, powerful and packed with trickle-down MotoGP technology, the YZF-R1 is the most advanced Open-class production motorcycle ever built.
The YZF-R1 uses the YCC-T fly-by-wire throttle system for flawless response under all conditions.
Inline four-cylinder engine is the most powerful, tractable R1 powerplant ever, thanks partially to the world’s first electronic variable-length intake funnel system.
Slipper-type back tor:-que-limiting clutch greatly facilitates braking/downshifting from high speed.
Aluminum Deltabox frame and swingarm take Open-class handling to the next performance level.
Six-piston radial-mount front brake calipers and 310mm discs generate the kind of braking power a bike like the R1 requires.
  • Engine:-
Short-stroke 998cc DOHC, 16-valve, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine produces more tractable power than ever.
Yamaha Chip Control Throttle controls a 32-bit ECU fuel injection system for super-responsive, smooth, instantaneous power delivery.
Yamaha Chip Control Intake electronically adjusts intake funnel length between either 65 or 140mm for an amazingly broad, smooth powerband.
Two-piece ergonomically designed fuel tank carries fuel in the rear section, for good centralization of mass, while the front half contains a Ram-Air-fed airbox for increased power.
Lay-down-design cylinder head optimizes weight distribution, straightens intake tracts for improved cylinder filling and allows frame to pass over instead of around the engine for great strength and a narrow chassis.
Closed-deck cylinder block increases strength and allows a narrow engine in spite of big, 77mm bores.
Narrow-angle four-valve combustion chambers produce a highly efficient 12.7:1 compression ratio; 31mm titanium intake valves and 25mm exhausts controlled by new, high-lift cams flow plenty of air.
Light and strong nutless connecting rods with fractured big ends produce a quick-revving engine with excellent high-rpm durability.
High silicon-content ceramic-composite cylinder sleeves ensure great heat dissipation for consistent power delivery and reduced friction.
Close-ratio six-speed gearbox with triangulated shaft layout for great strength, compactness, and quicker acceleration.
Ramp-type slipper clutch makes braking from speed into tight corners while downshifting smoother and therefore faster.
Titanium underseat exhaust system (with stainless steel midpipe and catalyst) provides excellent cornering clearance and a broad, seamless powerband.
13-percent greater radiator capacity and an aluminum liquid-cooled oil cooler maintain stable operating temperature.
Direct ignition coils, dual-electrode spark plugs and high-output magneto deliver extremely accurate, reliable firing.
AC generator behind cylinder block produces a narrow engine with excellent cornering clearance.
  • Chassis/Suspension:-
A Deltabox frame tuned for optimal flex carries the lay-down four-cylinder stressed-member style for great handling and efficient aerodynamic penetration.
A truss-type swingarm is extremely strong and tuned for optimal traction and feedback.
Dual 310mm front disc brakes; new, six-piston radial-mount calipers and Brembo radial-pump front master cylinder with adjustable lever deliver amazing braking power and feel.
Fully adjustable KYB inverted telescopic front fork with 43mm tubes has been revalved to complement other chassis changes.
Piggyback rear shock now offers both high- and low-speed compression adjustability, rebound damping and a new, twist-style spring preload adjuster.
Light, five-spoke wheels enhance acceleration, deceleration, handling and suspension action.
  • Additional Features:-
Cool headlights provide great illumination and distinctive style, while the LED taillight is light, bright and highly efficient.
Adjustable LCD illumination and multifunction digital gauges: adjustable shift light, odometer, dual tripmeters, water temperature, air temperature, full-time clock, lap timer and large 15,000-rpm analog tachometer.
A fairing with big Ram-Air intakes and screwless windscreen provides maximum aerodynamic efficiency and engine performance.
Sticky 120/70-ZR17 and 190/50-ZR17 radial tires for incredible grip and precise handling.
Forged footpegs are extra durable and light.
Extensive use of hollow bolts and lightweight fasteners helps trim overall weight.
8.6 AH battery is compact and light.
    Durable #530 O-ring–sealed drive chain.
Standard toolkit located in convenient storage compartment under passenger seat

  • Sony Ericsson W960 is aptly the big gun in the Sony Ericsson portfolio of music-centered handsets. Gifted with the scorching 8GB of storage space and a large touchscreen TFT display, a 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities, the W960 easily stands out in the Walkman crowd. Powered by the Symbian OS and UIQ user interface, it delivers one-of-a-kind Walkman experience with rich fullscreen visualizations and advanced track filtering.
  • Key features:
    Walkman Touch music player
Symbian OS 9.1 with UIQ 3.0
    3G support with video calls
    Wi-Fi support
    3 megapixel camera with autofocus
    8GB of storage space
    Dedicated touch-sensitive player keys
    262K color TFT touchscreen display
    FM radio
Stereo Bluetooth (with 3.5 mm adapter included)
  • Main disadvantages:
Not as impressive in life as in the promotional photos
Slow interface response as storage gets nearly used up
    Back key location changed
No memory card slot (yeah, we know it has 8GB of internal memory)
Music player cannot sort tracks by filename
    No EDGE support
  • The Sony Ericsson W960 is the successor of Sony Ericsson W950, which came with 4GB of integrated memory, but failed to gain popularity for the lack of camera and Wi-Fi capabilities. In fact, featurewise the W960 resembles more the Sony Ericsson P1 - they are almost identical in terms of hardware (although the P1 has an Infrared port, which lacks in W960). The W960 features the same 208MHz processor and the same amount of RAM - 128MB. However, the W960 boasts a dedicated Walkman key, three touch-sensitive keys for controlling the music player and, finally, that all-important Walkman home screen application with fullscreen visualizations.
  • Call management
The Call log lists store all the information about the calls received or made. Now, when it comes to call management, besides call filtering there are two other nice things that the W960 can do for you. The first one is sending an SMS with a predefined text to the person whose call you are rejecting. The second one is automatically storing a callback event in the calendar every time you reject a call.
  • Walkman inspired
Sony Ericsson W960 boasts one of the most elaborate music players we have seen in a mobile phone. Of course, it supports playlists with shuffle and loop options, while offering the usual equalizer presets including the Walkman MegaBass.
  • We finally got a camera
The Sony Ericsson W960 is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and a dual-LED flash - again, much like the P1 and unlike the previous Walkman-enabled smartphone W950. The maximum resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels. Pictures are taken by holding the handset in landscape mode. The camera interface is intuitive - all settings are arranged in a toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Final words:- Sony Ericsson W960 easily offers more than any other Sony Ericsson Walkman before. Positive changes compared to the W950 are noticeable both in system performance and in the hardware equipment. In terms of software, the handset is identical to the previous UIQ 3 mobiles and, when compared to Nokia S60 smartphones, loses only on VoIP capabilities, which are much more elaborate in the latest S60 mobiles.
The biggest controversy as we see it, when making the purchase decision for W960, lies in the use of a touchscreen interface for a regular smartphone. Our opinion is that a smartphone interface should be either optimized for finger touching or the screen should not be touch sensitive at all. Pulling the stylus out for anything except handwriting on the screen is not justifiable. So, just to put it shortly, the W960 would have been a great choice if it had some sort of a D-pad to allow easy single-handed navigation through the menu options without the need for stylus all the time.
However, we find the Sony Ericsson W960 a great choice for all you music fans that don't mind using both hands for operating their handset.

    Ample 2.4" display
    Powerful loudspeaker
    FM radio with RDS
1GB or 2GB M2 card included, M2 USB card reader.
  • Main disadvantages:-
Comes at an overpriced price tag
    Wobbly slider
2 MP camera with neither autofocus, nor flash
    Only 40 MB internal memory
Video recording in QVGA resolution at 15fps
    Irrelevant gaming/photo keys
No skins for the Walkman player.
  • Telephony
All the latest Sony Ericsson phones we've tested offer very good voice quality in making and receiving calls, and W910 is no exception. The quad-band handset offers great signal reception and ringing is powerful and crisp, so you certainly won't miss an incoming call even in noisy surroundings. This shouldn't surprise though, as this is a music-centered handset.
  • Call management
The Calls log is divided into four different tabs. They are: All, Answered (Received), Dialed and Missed. The maximum number of records is 30 altogether, shared between the separate tabs. When there are several calls made to a single contact, only the last call gets displayed. It's high time Sony Ericsson updated the call log to allow at least 60 records.
  • Multimedia: good, better … best:-
The high-end Sony Ericsson W910 features the Walkman 3.0 player with Shake control and SensMe feature. The player supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC +, WAV, WMA, M4A and MIDI file formats and sports the MegaBass equalizer preset. The player can naturally be set to run in the background. If you are not willing to use the media player step-by-step interface, you can directly play a file through the file manager with its classic flat structure. It's a shame Sony Ericsson W910 doesn't offer additional player skins. On one hand, they are developing lovely flash themes, a few new ones found in each new release with revamped menus and effects, and on the other, the player doesn't get a single spare Walkman outfit for the weekends. And all that in a music-oriented phone. The integrated FM radio of the Sony Ericsson W910 has memory for 20 preset stations and supports RDS.
  • Image Gallery outscores the camera
The Photo browsing functionality in Sony Ericsson W910 is far better than the integrated camera, which produces passable pictures with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels resolution and lacks autofocus. So, first things first.
The Photo gallery is accessible through the Media center, it's the third application in the list and has the following submenu items: Latest Photo, Camera Album, Photo Tags, and Pictures. Latest Photo provides quick access to most recent photos. Camera Album is a thumb list for each month of the year. When a month is open, it reveals a 4 x 3 grid of thumbs of photos. Scrolling down shows all the photos taken in the respective month. The highlighted photo is a bit larger for better browsing experience. The Pictures section opens again as a 4 x 3 grid of thumbs with non-camera images, like the preinstalled wallpapers. When exiting the full screen view of a picture, it smoothly zooms out to thumb view.
  • Browsing and applications
Besides HSDPA (3.6 Mbps), EDGE and GPRS for fast data transfers, video calls and content-streaming, the handset offers the usual connectivity capabilities such as USB and Bluetooth with A2DP support. Sony Ericsson lacks WiFi and infrared connectivity.
Sony Ericsson uses the traditional Access NetFront HTML browser. It does more than an all-right job and has plenty of options - you can view the pages fullscreen with no menus showing and you can even browse your Web pages in landscape mode. It has WAP and picture modes. It supports content created for HTML 4.01, xHTML 1.0, CSS and Java script, WAP 2.0. The supported security protocols are SSL/TLS. You can also browse sites in pan & zoom view mode, and it works much like zooming photos.
  • Conclusion:-
Sony Ericsson W910 is the top dog in the Walkman series when it comes to feature phones, the smarty W960 being a class of its own in the company's music portfolio. Some of W910 features are true high-end stuff: the quality display, elaborate music features, exquisite design, fast performance and 3G capabilities. Those however coexist with painfully familiar features and applications we've been getting in downright midrange handsets. Too much compromise to put up with in this price range and the tag on W910 is likely to get even the brand loyals a bit reserved. Nokia and Samsung seem to prepare a handful of cool music offerings in this price range too, while their non-music oriented handsets too have good music players. Despite the rich sales package, including a 1GB M2 card and the cool M2 USB reader, the W910 will be under pressure, as price is the ultimate decisive factor in this increasingly competitive market.

  • Review:-Hero Honda recently launched their not much awaited bike Hero Honda Hunk. Already talks about it and specially its name, Hero Honda could have used some better name. Well, Hunk is still, if you look into dictionary then it is a very manly word. This machine has almost similar power and torque to CBZ xtreme, ie. 14.2bhp at 8500 rpm and 12.8 nm at 6500 rpm. Then engine displacement is 149.2 cc . And the engine is set to have tumble flow ( I can't comment over it as do not have enough information about it).

  • 1) Hero Honda Hunk is available in four colours - panther black, fighter blue, red and silver. On the road Hunk comes at a price of Rs61,590.

  • 2)Hero Honda Hunk is powered by an 150cc Engine, delivering 14.4PS @ 8500 RPM of power and 12.80 N-m @ 6500 of torque. Advanced Tumble Flow Induction (ATFI) helps the Hunk to provide imporved torque and higher fuel efficiency. The engines breathes through a CV carburettor and the Ignition is guided by a microprocessor. The engine is teamed with a five-speed constant mesh gearbox(1-down 4-up). Hero Honda claims Hunk can hit 60 Kmph mark in 5 seconds.

  • 3) Hero Honda Hunk: Hunk is the first bike from Hero Honda to feature gas charged rear suspension(GRS-Gas Reservoir Suspension in Hero Honda’s term). The stepped seat offers lumbar support to the rider. Underneath the overhung rear fender is metal plates to prevent rattling.

  • 4) Though the Hunk’s design is largely a resemblance of TVS apache. Hunk’s chrome finished 3-Dimensional ” HUNK” Emblem, gold finished front forks, silver finished central section and muscular rear cowl adds extra charm to this muscle. A bulky-looking silver heat shield bolts atop the silencer. Hunk sports contemporary five-spoke alloy rims in matt black, a theme that continues to its engine cases, silencer as well as the chain shroud. Infact, matte black panels dominates the painted panels which makes Hunk more muscular.

  • 5) Hero Honda Hunk shares the tubular, diamond frame type chassis of the CBZ Xtreme. Unique gaming experience with the new N-Gage platform and dedicated gaming keys above the display
    Brilliant 2.4" 16M-color QVGA display
    2 megapixel camera
    3.5 mm audio jack
    Touch sensitive Navi wheel
Dedicated music keys and hardware keypad lock switch
    3G with video calls
    Nice multimedia menu.
  • Main disadvantages:-
    Mediocre camera
    Awkward D-pad
    Hefty weight
    Uncomfortable keypad
    No HSDPA
  • Both versions of Nokia N81 have been in the spotlight ever since their official announcement at the Nokia Go Play Event in London back than in August. The air is getting thick with anticipation, as N81 seems to have earned quite a lot of fans. No wonder with a specs sheet like this, though we know better than taking anything for granted. After all, the question is whether performance cashes the checks written by the specs. Besides, we just couldn't wait to play a few games and see if those dedicated keys are worth the fuss.
  • Picture perfect:-
When we speak about phones, a 2.4" inch display is well worth a praise. With N81 and the N-Gage gaming experience it offers, the 2.4" display with 16M colors and QVGA resolution seems the spot-on choice. The display on Nokia N81 has great sunlight legibility, incredible picture quality and is large enough for everyone to see. You can hardly want any more even in this price range.
  • Get yourself connected:-
Connectivity is definitely among the Nokia N81 priorities. A microUSB port is in charge of cable connections. If you do not have the required cable, you can always rely on Bluetooth v2.0 or Wi-Fi. In addition, there is a rich choice of network selections - GPRS, EDGE and UMTS are all present. We felt sorry that HSDPA has been missed out this time, but we could live with it, having all those alternatives at hand. The N81 8GB lacks a card slot too but, as we see it, card readers are rarely used for transferring data from and to a mobile, so it is not a big deal.
  • Reviewing the Nokia N81 was fun, except for the short periods when it got on our nerves with its awkward D-pad. Having in mind that some of its disadvantages will be fixed, we think a strong and able Symbian device is joining up the ranks. A screen of this size is not so often seen, while its gaming powers add up to a really exciting gadget. There's no doubt however that the N81 is quite a niche product, even if it's not as outspokenly eccentric as its N-gage siblings. It's worth considering how many people will be tempted by the rich smartphone functionality and turned down by the excessively youthful image of the gaming-happy N81. The hefty price tag is no surprise but it may cause many to think twice before choosing a Nokia N81 over N95 for example. If you ask us, we'll definitely go for the N95, never mind its inadequate battery. Plus, the N81 is the game-centered device in the N-series, but many of its teammates are compatible with the N-gage games anyway.
